Andy Parsons: A Whole Nother Story

A WHOLE NOTHER STORY is the second album from FUNDEMENTIA, a jazz collective led by Andy Parsons (saxophones) and Gene Lewin (drums). Featuring guitarists Pete McCann and Chris Tarrow, bassists John Hebert and Doug Weiss, and pianist Mike Holober, the project was captured live and in the studio. This powerful recording demonstrates the improvisational skills of the artists in both settings, and features Mr. Parsons' compositions.

The live tracks were recorded in concert on Friday, April 30th, 8pm, at the Irish Arts Center Theater, 553 West 51st Street in Manhattan. Presented by Joe Traina as part of the popular and critically acclaimed Mostly Jazz Concert Series. The Irish Arts Center Theater is a beautiful venue featuring hardwood detailing and outstanding acoustics, making it a perfect place for live performance and recording, courtesy of live engineer Rob Killenberger.
