24, 1999 -- NEW YORK -- The jazz quintet Fundedementia will perform
in concert on Friday, April 30th, at the Irish Arts Center Theater in
New York City.
Fundementia is a progressive and original jazz ensemble led by Andy Parsons (saxophone) and Gene Lewin (drums). With Mike Holober on piano, Chris Tarrow on guitar, and Doug Weiss on bass, the quintet excels with melody, challenging harmony, and adventurous improvisation. The concert is being presented by Joe Traina as part of the Mostly Jazz Concert Series, which has garnered popular and critical acclaim for several events. The Irish Arts Center Theater, located at 553 West 51st Street between 10th and 11th Avesin Manhattan, is a beautiful venue featuring hardwood detailing and outstanding acoustics. A recording of the concert is being co-produced by Sons of Sound Productions for possible future release. The performance will take place on Friday, April 30, at 8:00 pm.
